Napster is an awesome, powerful music machine and offers you a lot of music
for your money. This isn't the old, free version that the Supreme Court,
siding with the record industry, ruled illegal. The new Napster is subscription-based
with prices starting at $9.95 U.S per month for unlimited music-file
downloads from its database of more than 5 million songs. While
it's surprising to find that some artists with barely any or no downloadable
songs available, other artists have an ample supply of songs on Napster.
If you like the groups Yes, Justin Timberlake, or the Black-Eyed Peas,
for example, you'll find almost every song they ever did, and then some.
Other groups, like Led Zeppelin, which recently added its entire collection
to Napster and Yahoo, charge 99 cents per download with 30-second free
samples. It's hit or miss, but you can still find lots and lots of good
music with free downloads. At the basic price level the songs are delivered
in WMA (Windows Media Audio) format which allows you to listen to them
on up to three computers. However, for an additional $5 per month you
can add the "Napster to Go" option which allows you to listen
to your downloaded songs on your other MP3 players. Try
Napster if you want to have unlimited music-file downloads, personalized
playlists, and 100's of online music channels for a flat monthly-price. Click Here for Free Napster Download New Napster Features:
Napster is a self-contained piece of software that not only acts as a download service, but also a library and music player. You can listen to one song while downloading another. In fact, you can download several songs at once. The search function is quick, and you get a list of the songs relevant to your keyword. You can search by song title, artist name, or album. I had some stability issues with the Napster player on my laptop, but it worked fine on both desktops. Overall, I like the layout of the program and find it easy to use. It's like having my own, personalized online music store. Napster is a good choice if you want to be able to download songs, play them offline on your computer, and listen to streaming radio. | ||||||
